Our 10th anniversary celebration confirmed that WISER’s work is needed now more than ever. The panels and our 10 Years, 10 Stories interviews highlighted how disaggregating data has reframed the way leaders think about single low-income parents—and how outcomes change when data is examined more precisely. We were reminded that over the years, WISER has shown that data disaggregation can be done, that it makes a difference—and that we have set the standard.
I was also encouraged to explore partnerships with organizations that could amplify our work and to consider how WISER might serve as the data disaggregator for smaller organizations.
On artificial intelligence: I was asked how I would feel if AI used our data in its responses to users. Honestly, I’d welcome it—our goal is to give people access to our data and findings, and AI is another way to make that possible. I also shared that, as foundation funding tightens, AI offers WISER a valuable tool to stay competitive. I plan to take next week to reflect on those conversations.
